Problem Statement:
In the e-commerce industry, there are many mobile applications out there for beauty and makeup products. However not one product out there provides a combination of beauty products and influencer reviews.
Idea:
Jessica Gu came up with the idea for this product when she realized there wasn’t a single platform that combined beauty influencers and products. When shopping for skincare and makeup products, she had to spend a lot of time researching on what to buy and what to avoid. She had to open numerous tabs and windows looking for reviews and tutorials on the products she wanted to buy. Frustrated with this time consuming process, she decided to create a product where beauty products and influencer videos can be brought under one platform.
Solution:
She wanted to use affiliate engines for the products on her application. A thorough research cycle was carried out to understand the behavior of affiliates before sending it into development. The final product developed allows users to find relevant influencer videos listed against each product available on the app. This enables a user to view tutorials for a product and its reviews before buying it. In order to buy a product from the app, users will be directed to vendor websites where they can make the purchase.

Jessica’s idea combined with our team’s expertise produced an application that brings beauty influencers and beauty products under one roof. A user will not be required to open YouTube and search for influencer reviews each time before buying a product as the relevant videos can now be viewed directly on this app. With more than one affiliate engines integrated on this app, numerous top beauty brands can be found on this app.
